60 children in Asanda Village (Strand) urgently need their own dedicated classroom space.

Location: Asanda Village, Strand, Western Cape
About: The centre was established in 2008 when Neliswa gathered together 12 children in her community who were playing unsupervised in the street. As the years passed the centre grew form 12 to 60 children.
Challenge: Neliswa and her teachers battle to teach two different age groups in an open area which has a row of plastic chairs to dividing the classroom. Currently the pre-school has to pack up all play, learning and teaching materials to accommodate regular church activities.
The need: Two joined 6m container classrooms
Beneficiaries: 60 children, aged 3 months to 6 years old
Target Goal: R197,000 – R217,000
