The centre is in desperate need of toilet facilities for the children in order to create a safer and more hygienic environment for the children

Location: Khayalitsha, Western Cape

About: The pre-school received a classroom container from Breadline Africa in 2017 which is operating successfully. There are no formal toilet facilities for the children, and they use plastic toilets located between the buildings. As an interim solution, the municipality provided the pre-school with a chemical toilet.

Challenge: The location of the toilets is not ideal on days of inclement weather, and the fact that the toilets are emptied periodically is not conducive to a safe and hygienic environment. The centre is in desperate need of toilet facilities for the children and the principal, Florence Gqoboka, aims to create a safer and more hygienic environment for the children who attend her pre-school.

The need: Breadline Africa proposes a 2 x 6m toilet container which will provide functional and hygienic toilet facilities for the children.

Beneficiaries: 28 children aged 2 to 5
