18 KZN ECD centres are desperately in need of new classrooms and toilets.

Location: Ugu District Municipality & Mbizana Municipality in the Eastern Cape
About: Breadline Africa began working in rural KwaZulu-Natal in October 2019. Alongside our local partner, Impande. Our work in this area focuses on upgrading inadequate classroom and toilet facilities at existing Early Childhood Development (ECD) Centres.
The challenge:  All these 21 pre-schools identified were started by communities in the Ugu District Municipality, to improve the lives of young children. A further 11 ECD Centres in the Mbizana Municipality in the Eastern Cape also need our help.
The need: To date 21 ECD Centres have been identified as being in need of additional classroom space to address overcrowded and unsafe learning environments.
Target goal: Breadline Africa’s low-cost infrastructure model allows us to provide a 30m2 brick and mortar classroom for R90,000 and a pour-flush toilet facility for R10,000.

We welcome all forms of donations, from part funding donations with naming rights to full branding sponsorships.
