About the project:

Realeboga-Bakubung Training and Development Agency was established in 2009, their primary focus is the training of pre-school Practitioners on basic pre-school skills programmes, this allows them to provide quality pre-school programmes to young children and get them school ready.

The challenge:

Pre-schools from the area rotate and bring children to the centre for storytelling and reading from 10 am -12 pm every day. The space is too small to accommodate all the children and they need a dedicated space for a toy library. The centre also requires more toilet facilities and a hygienic kitchen to prepare meals.

The need:

A 6m toy library will provide children from rural Free State a dedicated and safe space to learn and play. The toy library won’t only make a difference in the lives of young children but in the lives of parents and caregivers because access to books is scarce. An 18m² prefabricated kitchen/toilet unit is also needed to provide safe and hygienic facilities.
